Job Description
A results-driven Sales Manager is needed to lead field operations, drive revenue growth, and expand market presence within a fast-paced FMCG environment focused on fresh and short-shelf-life products. This role requires strong leadership, market expansion expertise, and the ability to close high-value accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a high-performing field sales team across assigned territories
- Build and expand relationships with distributors, wholesalers, supermarkets, and modern trade partners
- Identify and secure major accounts including supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, schools, and convenience stores
- Drive market penetration and increase product visibility, availability, and shelf placement
- Monitor sales performance, coverage efficiency, and team productivity using regular reporting tools
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve monthly and quarterly targets
- Execute promotional campaigns and market activation initiatives to boost product uptake
- Track competitor activities and implement effective counter-strategies
- Ensure accurate documentation of customer data, sales reports, and CRM updates
Requirements
- Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3–7 years of proven experience in FMCG sales, preferably in perishable goods, beverages, dairy, or similar products
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- High level of field engagement with the ability to manage on-the-road sales activities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
- Additional training in sales, negotiation, or FMCG distribution is an advantage
