Software Engineer at TasklyAfrica – Xel Staffing

TasklyAfrica, in partnership with Xel Staffing, is recruiting a skilled Software Engineer to support the development of scalable digital products for U.S.-based tech companies. This role involves building modern web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Salary: N1,500,000 – N2,500,000 / Month

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers on project delivery
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in production environments
• Work with modern technologies such as React, Node.js, and Python
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and maintain technical documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer or similar role
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java
• Experience working with web frameworks like React, Vue, Angular, Django, or Laravel
• Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Access to reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote workspace
