Swift Consulting Limited is recruiting on behalf of its client for the position of Senior DevOps Engineer. This role is ideal for a highly experienced professional with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). The successful candidate will play a key role in building scalable systems, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the reliability and security of cloud environments.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Monitoring cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, security, and reliability.
  • Managing containerized applications and orchestration platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Implementing security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, network security, and access controls.
  • Supporting incident response activities, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and security audits.
  • Collaborating with development, security, and operations teams to improve system architecture and deployment processes.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Job Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or related technical roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proven experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, and other infrastructure automation tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security-focused automation will be an added advantage.
