Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior JavaScript Developer to join an innovative organization developing next-generation AI-powered developer tools. This role is ideal for a highly skilled JavaScript/TypeScript professional with experience in machine learning workflows, code annotation, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices. The successful candidate will contribute to building high-quality training data, improving AI-generated code, and developing tools that enhance model performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage semantic annotation pipelines for JavaScript and TypeScript code, covering application logic, asynchronous programming, error handling, and security workflows.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to create annotation standards that accurately capture execution flow, data relationships, and real-world edge cases.
• Develop internal tools using Node.js and React to improve annotation quality assurance, dataset versioning, and active learning processes.
• Review AI-generated JavaScript code to identify inaccuracies, inefficiencies, code quality issues, and best practice violations.
• Create synthetic datasets and challenging coding scenarios to strengthen AI reasoning and code generation capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members on advanced JavaScript concepts and development best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years working extensively with modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs), JavaScript scope chains, the event loop, memory management, and V8 engine internals.
• Experience working with AI/ML technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), code generation systems, or natural language processing projects.
• Hands-on experience with annotation platforms such as Label Studio, Prodigy, or custom annotation pipelines.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Solid knowledge of test-driven development, static code analysis, performance optimization, and technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and architectural decision records.

₦700,000 – ₦1,000,000 per month
