Job Description

An experienced, discreet, and highly strategic professional is required for the role of Chief of Staff to provide executive, operational, and administrative support to senior leadership. This position goes beyond traditional executive assistance, serving as a trusted advisor, coordinator, and liaison to ensure alignment between vision, strategy, and execution. The role begins in Nigeria and transitions to Liberia, supporting regional expansion and cross-border operations.

Reports to: Principal / Executive Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the Principal, ensuring execution of priorities and follow-through on key initiatives
  • Prepare high-level documents including briefing notes, speeches, presentations, and reports
  • Conduct research and translate findings into actionable insights for decision-making
  • Track projects, deadlines, and performance metrics, ensuring accountability across teams
  • Coordinate high-level meetings, document outcomes, and ensure implementation of decisions
  • Support cross-functional collaboration and maintain alignment between departments and stakeholders
  • Represent leadership in internal and external engagements when required
  • Manage relationships with partners, government officials, donors, and key stakeholders
  • Oversee executive communications, ensuring professionalism and brand consistency
  • Manage complex calendars, travel arrangements, and confidential documentation
  • Ensure seamless coordination of activities across Nigeria and Liberia offices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Bilingual proficiency in English required; French is strongly preferred
  • 5–8 years of experience in executive support, operations, consulting, public policy, or senior administrative roles
  • Prior experience supporting C-level executives or founders is highly preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to manage both high-level priorities and detailed execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Notion), and CRM systems
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and stakeholder management ability
  • Strong discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Willingness to relocate to Liberia and travel as required
