SAP FI Sr. Consultant (Finance) at Dangote Industries Limited

A skilled SAP FI Sr. Consultant is required to support financial systems and drive end-to-end SAP FI solutions. This role focuses on designing, configuring, and optimizing SAP Financial Accounting processes while collaborating with finance stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. The position requires strong experience in SAP S/4HANA and deep functional expertise across core FI modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document complex finance business requirements across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and Fixed Assets
• Design and configure SAP FI solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
• Lead or support SAP project lifecycle phases including implementation, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
• Perform configuration across SAP FI sub-modules such as GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Tax
• Develop functional specifications for custom developments (RICEF objects) and collaborate with technical teams
• Support data migration activities including master data and transactional data for financial modules
• Create and execute test cases, and support SIT and UAT to ensure system accuracy and performance
• Provide ongoing Level 2/3 support, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous system improvements
• Collaborate with other SAP module consultants (MM, SD, CO, etc.) to ensure seamless integration
• Train end-users and develop documentation including process flows, manuals, and configuration guides

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8–10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP FI Consultant
• Strong expertise across SAP FI modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Tax
• Proven experience in at least 2–3 full SAP implementation or rollout projects
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (mandatory)
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles such as IFRS and GAAP
• Ability to write detailed functional specifications and work with technical teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or SAP FI certification are an advantage
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and financial reporting within SAP is a plus
