Job Description
LighTech Automation Electrical Services Limited is recruiting a Plant Electrical & Instrument Engineer for its manufacturing facility located in the Lekki Free Trade Zone. This role is suited for a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and plant maintenance, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
Location: Lekki Free Trade Zone, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: N300,000 – N400,000 monthly
Availability: Immediate (Preferred)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of industrial instruments such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, and weight transmitters
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including power distribution panels, MCCs (Motor Control Centres), and control panels
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electric motors and control systems including DOL starters, star-delta starters, soft starters, and VFDs
- Diagnose and resolve faults in low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
- Read, interpret, and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs
- Ensure proper cable selection, routing, termination, and gland installation according to standards
- Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support efficient plant operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or process plant environment
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor control, and instrumentation
- Hands-on experience with MCCs, protection systems, and fault diagnosis
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Willingness to relocate to Ibeju-Lekki
