Job Description

A fast-growing tech startup is seeking a skilled Copywriter / Content Strategist to lead and execute high-impact content initiatives. This role is ideal for a creative and data-driven professional who can craft compelling narratives, drive engagement, and align content with business goals across multiple digital channels.

Location: Abuja (FCT) & Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy, including roadmap and publishing schedule
  • Create engaging, high-quality content across various formats including blogs, ads, email campaigns, landing pages, case studies, and social media
  • Conduct in-depth research and analyze competitor content, messaging, and distribution strategies to inform content direction
  • Develop and manage a content editorial calendar, ensuring consistent and timely delivery of content
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis
  • Collaborate with designers, product teams, and other stakeholders to produce compelling brand communications
  • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Optimize content for SEO to improve visibility and search engine rankings
  • Track and analyze content performance using web analytics tools to refine content strategies
  • Identify and understand target audiences, including their preferences, behaviors, and demographics
  • Conduct interviews with customers and industry experts to develop case studies and thought leadership content

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in SaaS content marketing, preferably within Edtech or Fintech
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, hashtags, and engagement strategies
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven storytelling ability with a user-focused mindset
  • Strong research skills and ability to simplify complex information into engaging content
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques
  • Experience using WordPress, Google Analytics, and major social media platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work independently when required
  • Leadership experience in managing or mentoring content teams or freelancers is an advantage
  • Background in digital marketing is a plus
