Job Description
Sherman Gray Limited is seeking a skilled Project Engineer (Civil/Structural) to oversee the design, analysis, and execution of construction projects from concept to completion. This role requires strong technical expertise in structural engineering, project coordination, and site execution to ensure safety, stability, and efficiency across all project phases.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise civil/structural construction projects to ensure timely and safe delivery
- Perform structural design, analysis, and calculations using industry codes and engineering standards
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, plans, and technical specifications
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for proposed projects
- Monitor site activities, verify measurements, and document field conditions
- Collaborate with architects and other engineering professionals throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify structural risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Evaluate construction materials such as steel, concrete, and timber for suitability
- Handle multiple projects and support contract administration in a fast-paced environment
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering and project management
- Proficiency in structural design, analysis, and detailing
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and STAADPro or equivalent software
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
- Good understanding of site layout, grading, and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- MSc degree and professional engineering license are added advantages
