Senior Site Engineer
Job Description
A firm is looking to hire a Senior Site Engineer to lead and guide Site Engineers, technicians, contractors, and other site personnel.
Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)
Salary: ₦600,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day construction activities on site.
- Lead and guide Site Engineers, technicians, contractors, and other site personnel.
- Ensure construction work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
- Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and identify technical issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor the use of construction materials and ensure proper utilisation to minimise waste.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues on site.
- Ensure proper setting out, measurements, levels, and other technical site requirements are accurately carried out.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction/site engineering experience.
- Strong experience managing construction activities on medium to large-scale projects.
- Proven experience supervising contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, drawings, specifications, and site procedures.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering and construction software is an advantage.
