A reputable organization in the heavy equipment sector is seeking a results-driven Business Development Officer to support revenue growth and expand market presence. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and managing the full sales cycle across industries such as construction, oil and gas, mining, and contracting.
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: N300,000 Monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and targeted outreach
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and technical recommendations tailored to client needs
- Negotiate pricing, rental agreements, and contract terms to close profitable deals
- Manage and track sales pipeline activities, ensuring consistent performance against set KPIs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within heavy equipment, construction, oil and gas, or industrial sectors
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with documented achievements
- Strong understanding of construction machinery and earthmoving equipment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively
