Head, Revenue Assurance at Unified Payments Services Limited

The Head, Revenue Assurance plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of all revenue-related processes within the organization. This position focuses on identifying revenue leakages, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. The role also involves leading audit engagements and working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain reliable revenue reporting and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute audits on revenue generation, recognition, billing, and collection processes
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of receivables against collections, including scheme receivables for domestic and international transactions (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, CUP, Payattitude, and others)
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of transaction files generated for local and secondary settlements
• Conduct quality checks to prevent duplicate or incomplete submission of clearing files within required timelines
• Identify revenue leakages, control gaps, and process inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
• Review revenue-related systems (ERP, POS, billing systems) to ensure data integrity and control effectiveness
• Collaborate with IT Audit teams to ensure system configurations support accurate revenue capture and reporting
• Track implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely resolution of identified issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CISA, CIA, or equivalent is required
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in audit leadership roles focused on revenue assurance, risk management, or financial controls
• Experience in banking, telecommunications, insurance, utilities, or large corporate audit environments is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles, internal controls, and risk-based auditing methodologies
• Proficiency in audit management and data analytics tools such as ACL, IDEA, Power BI, or SQL
