Job Description
A reputable organization in Port Harcourt is seeking a skilled Fleet Cost Accountant to oversee and optimize financial activities related to fleet operations. This role focuses on tracking, analyzing, and controlling costs to improve operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to N400,000 / Month
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs
- Prepare detailed cost reports and provide insights for cost control and efficiency improvements
- Track vehicle utilization and assess overall operational performance
- Reconcile fleet accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes for fleet operations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting; fleet or logistics experience is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational ability
