School Educational Services is seeking a qualified and passionate Biology Educator to join its academic team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging biology lessons, supervising laboratory activities, and helping students develop strong scientific knowledge and critical thinking skills. Salary: N250,000 – N400,000 Monthly
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging biology lessons in line with the approved curriculum
- Conduct laboratory experiments and supervise practical biology sessions
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, tests, and examination materials
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive academic feedback
- Maintain discipline and effective classroom management during lessons
- Encourage student participation, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and materials
- Support students in science projects, competitions, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and learning outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings, academic programs, and departmental activities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biological Sciences, Biology Education, or a related field
- 3 – 10 years of teaching experience, preferably at the secondary school level
- IGCSE certification is mandatory
- TRCN certification is required
- Strong knowledge of biological sciences and life processes
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex scientific concepts for students
- Experience conducting and supervising laboratory practicals
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and modern instructional methods
- Strong organisational and lesson planning abilities
- Passion for science education and student development
