DevOps / Security Engineer (Remote) at Didii
Job Description
Didii is hiring a DevOps / Security Engineer to manage and secure critical infrastructure powering financial operations. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in maintaining reliable cloud systems, strengthening security frameworks, and responding to incidents in fast-paced regulated environments. The successful candidate will help ensure platform stability, compliance, and performance during high-traffic periods and security-sensitive operations.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes
- Monitor system performance through observability tools, alerts, metrics, and on-call operations
- Implement security best practices aligned with OWASP Top 10 standards and CBN security guidelines
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting during outages, attacks, or system failures
- Build and maintain security review processes for newly released features and infrastructure updates
- Strengthen infrastructure security through runtime hardening, WAF configuration, and secrets management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, uptime, and deployment efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in SRE or DevOps roles within regulated industries such as fintech, banking, or healthtech
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud security practices
- Experience with observability, monitoring systems, and incident response processes
- Hands-on experience with secrets management, WAF deployment, and runtime hardening
- Deep understanding of security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and respond to critical production incidents
- Experience working with a Nigerian PSP or bank is an added advantage
