Job Description
An experienced and performance-driven Area Sales Manager is needed to oversee sales activities, strengthen distributor relationships, and drive business growth within the assigned territory. The role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in sales management and proven experience in the FMCG industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing market share, improving product visibility, and ensuring sales targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet revenue and business growth targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify business opportunities.
- Ensure consistent product availability, visibility, and distribution across assigned territories.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team performance goals.
- Prepare periodic sales reports and provide market feedback to management for decision-making.
- Identify new markets and opportunities to expand customer base and increase sales performance.
- Implement sales initiatives that strengthen brand presence and improve market penetration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage distributors, key accounts, and sales operations effectively.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
Salary
N300,000 – N650,000 per month.
