Job Description

Refin Homes Limited is seeking an experienced Head, Legal and Compliance / Company Secretary to oversee the company’s legal, regulatory, and corporate governance functions. This leadership role is responsible for providing legal guidance, ensuring compliance with statutory and industry regulations, managing company secretarial duties, and minimizing legal risks across the organization.

Salary: ₦400,000 – ₦500,000 Monthly

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and strategic counsel to the Board, Management, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate board meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, resolutions, and maintain statutory records.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Oversee litigation matters, coordinate with external legal counsel, and represent the company when required.
  • Handle land documentation, title verification, property searches, and perfection processes.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure timely statutory filings.
  • Maintain an organized legal documentation and records management system.
  • Support communication and coordination between the Nigeria headquarters and international offices where necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and qualification to practice law in Nigeria.
  • Proven experience in a similar Head, Legal and Compliance / Company Secretary role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and company secretarial practices.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, including Joint Venture Agreements, Service Level Agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with board meetings, property transactions, and regulatory approval processes is an added advantage.
