Job Description

A reputable organization is seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join its remote team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled Python professional with a strong background in building scalable applications, developing robust data pipelines, and supporting AI-powered solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating efficient backend systems, optimizing application performance, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for processing and managing large code datasets.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks to measure the performance of AI models on real-world Python programming tasks.
  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, command-line tools, and automation workflows using Python technologies.
  • Optimize application performance through asynchronous programming, caching, batching, and memory optimization techniques.
  • Integrate large language model (LLM) APIs and open-source AI models into reusable Python-based solutions.
  • Write clean, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code following industry best practices.
  • Work closely with engineering and machine learning teams to deploy reliable, production-ready applications.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional Python development experience with strong knowledge of Python 3.11+, asyncio, typing, and packaging.
  • Proven experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, SQLAlchemy, and task queue technologies such as Celery.
  • Strong background in building data-intensive applications and processing large datasets using tools such as Dask, Ray, or Polars.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices, experiment tracking tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Salary

₦700,000 – ₦1,000,000 per month.
