Job Description

GIG Mobility is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to support the management and continuous improvement of a multi-cloud Kubernetes platform across AWS and Azure. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure, GitOps, CI/CD, automation, security, monitoring, and production support.

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes environments across AWS and Azure.
  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
  • Provision, deploy, and manage microservices across development and production environments.
  • Manage cloud security, secrets, networking, access controls, and related infrastructure.
  • Maintain monitoring and observability systems using New Relic and Elastic.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call support.
  • Automate operational processes and implement improvements that enhance platform reliability and performance.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GitOps practices.
  • Experience with AWS/EKS and multi-cloud environments.
  • Proficiency with ArgoCD, Helm, Kustomize, and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, secrets management, networking, and automation.
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident response, and production support skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Anthos.
  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Experience with Istio.
  • Experience with New Relic and/or Elastic.
  • Experience working with Node.js microservices.
