Job Description

A reputable organization is seeking an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to lead and strengthen its compliance framework across multiple business units. The successful candidate will provide strategic compliance guidance, monitor regulatory requirements, assess risks, and ensure business operations align with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across sectors including Finance, IT, Foreign Exchange, Cryptocurrency, and Oil & Gas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide compliance programs across multiple business lines.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance frameworks remain aligned with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Oversee compliance with relevant local and international regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a key point of contact for regulators and manage regulatory communications, reviews, and examinations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks across business operations.
• Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses.
• Develop, review, and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Lead compliance training and awareness programs for employees and management.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
• Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, findings, investigations, and remediation actions.
• Lead internal investigations relating to compliance breaches and regulatory concerns.
• Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions while ensuring timely follow-up.
• Provide ongoing compliance advisory support to senior management and business teams.
• Communicate regulatory requirements, updates, and compliance expectations across the organization.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• ACAMS certification is compulsory.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience working across sectors such as Finance, Foreign Exchange, Cryptocurrency, IT, or Oil & Gas is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, investigative, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

₦700,000 monthly
