Job Description

Navitas is seeking a results-driven Area Manager to lead student recruitment, market development, and strategic partnership activities across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers market. The successful candidate will drive enrolment growth, strengthen relationships with education agents and institutions, identify new business opportunities, and provide market insights to support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive student recruitment, enrolment, revenue, and market expansion targets across the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement territory-specific recruitment and market development strategies aligned with wider business objectives.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities, monitor competitor activity, and provide market intelligence to support growth.
  • Develop UniStart International Foundation Year partnerships, including partner identification, qualification, site visits, and onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with education agents and channel partners through regular engagement, training, business planning, and performance reviews.
  • Identify, onboard, and develop strategic recruitment partners while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and quality standards.
  • Represent Navitas at recruitment fairs, seminars, school visits, industry events, and partner meetings.
  • Build relationships with schools, universities, counsellors, and other education stakeholders to strengthen the student recruitment pipeline.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Analyse recruitment performance, partner activity, pipeline trends, and market intelligence to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular recruitment and market performance reports.
  • Promote ethical recruitment practices and ensure compliance with institutional, regulatory, immigration, and visa requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, International Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the international education sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in student recruitment, business development, sales, or partnership management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, CRM, and reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a performance-driven environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory when required.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in international higher education, pathway education, or student mobility.
  • Knowledge of visa requirements and international student recruitment processes.
  • Established networks within Nigeria’s education, counselling, or recruitment-agent community.
  • Experience working within a matrix or multinational organisation.
  • Knowledge of current market conditions, immigration policies, and education sector developments.
