Job Description

Catalyst Path Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Chemist to support laboratory operations, chemical analysis, quality control, process monitoring, and compliance within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, process samples, finished products, water, and wastewater.
• Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing according to approved SOPs.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, standards, and samples for analysis.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Record, verify, and report laboratory results accurately.
• Investigate out-of-specification results and process deviations.
• Support production and process teams with analytical data.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals.
• Maintain laboratory quality, safety, cleanliness, and documentation standards.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to junior laboratory personnel.
• Prepare laboratory reports and participate in audits and improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

• 4–6 years of relevant industrial laboratory experience.
• Proven experience in chemical analysis and laboratory operations.
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, quality control, and chemical safety.
• Practical experience with laboratory instruments and analytical equipment.
• Ability to interpret results and identify trends or quality issues.
• Good knowledge of SOPs, laboratory documentation, and quality systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Relevant professional/technical certifications are an advantage.
• Willingness to work shifts or extended hours when required.
