Babban Gona Farmer Services Nigeria Limited is recruiting a detail-oriented and analytical Associate, Finance Operations to support financial management, reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and operational finance processes. The role requires a finance professional with strong accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage credit card transactions and invoice payments for farmers.
• Approve third-party payments through accurate reconciliation of financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of annual budgets.
• Support the development and improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
• Review transfer requests and ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Verify staff expenditure requests against approved budgets and policies.
• Support year-end closing activities, including processing transfers and resolving finance-related inquiries.
• Coordinate monthly invoicing, cost allocation, and accounting record updates.
• Analyze existing finance systems and recommend process improvements.
• Conduct periodic finance audits and assist with implementing corrective actions.
• Support financial reporting, operational finance activities, and management decision-making.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in Finance and/or MBA is an added advantage.
• 4–6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis, accounting principles, and financial operations.
• Experience using data management and query tools such as Access, SQL, or Business Objects.
• Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience presenting financial information to senior management and executives.
• Strong financial modeling and reporting capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
