Job Description

iRecharge Tech-Innovations Limited is seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to develop and maintain scalable backend systems that support digital banking, payment solutions, and transaction-based products. The role requires strong backend development expertise, database knowledge, and experience building secure APIs and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
  • Build secure, well-documented RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Develop backend solutions that support digital banking products, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Design, optimise, and maintain databases while ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  • Integrate third-party services and systems to support product functionality.
  • Identify and resolve backend performance, security, and reliability issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional backend development experience, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or digital products.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or a comparable backend programming language.
  • Proven experience building RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and transaction-based systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational database systems.
  • Good understanding of backend architecture, security, scalability, and performance optimisation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
