Job Description

A reputable MEP contracting company is hiring an experienced CAD Engineer (Electrical) to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The role requires expertise in creating precise electrical designs and drafting for MEP projects while ensuring strict adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed and accurate electrical drawings for MEP projects.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and firefighting teams to deliver fully integrated layouts.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure all designs meet ASHRAE, SMACNA, and applicable local codes.
  • Provide technical assistance and resolve electrical design issues during construction.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software for project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a CAD Engineer in an MEP contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant industry-standard design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of MEPF systems including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
  • Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to deliver accurate drawings.
