Job Description

AXA Mansard Insurance Plc is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic operational leadership for its health management business in Nigeria. The successful candidate will oversee business operations, strengthen provider and client relationships, drive operational excellence, and ensure the organization achieves its strategic objectives while maintaining high-quality healthcare service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of AXA Mansard Health, ensuring efficient coordination of systems, processes, and business activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, healthcare providers, clients, and strategic partners to support business growth.
  • Drive the implementation of operational strategies that align with organizational goals, structure, and available resources.
  • Oversee risk management policies, corporate governance, and business continuity initiatives to safeguard organizational performance.
  • Ensure healthcare providers within the network consistently meet the organization’s quality and service standards.
  • Monitor operational performance by implementing systems that improve efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry regulations and operational policies.
  • Represent the organization at industry meetings, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (advanced qualifications are an advantage).
  • Strong background in strategic health management and operations management.
  • Excellent financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of risk management, corporate governance, and process improvement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Good understanding of Nigeria’s healthcare industry regulations and operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 10–15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a related operational role and 7 years in a leadership position.
