Job Description
Reliance Health is seeking a Finance Associate to support financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience in accounting processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and other payment requests accurately and within approved timelines.
- Prepare and execute payment runs while ensuring compliance with approval procedures and cash flow schedules.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts, premium collections, claims payments, and provider settlements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant financial regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning initiatives.
- Respond to finance-related inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account balances in a timely manner.
- Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.
Requirements
Interested candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial close processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Experience handling reconciliations involving claims, premiums, or provider payments.
- Professional certification or ongoing studies toward ICAN or ACCA qualification.
