Job Description

Zedcrest Capital Limited is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Officer to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage liquidity, and support efficient accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure tax compliance, manage tax obligations, and coordinate tax audits with external tax consultants.
  • Oversee expense management, including OPEX, CAPEX, advances, and appropriate general ledger postings.
  • Prepare and remit VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) accurately and on time.
  • Manage company bank accounts, monitor liquidity, and coordinate surplus cash investments with the Portfolio Management Team.
  • Prepare and present weekly liquidity reports for the Group.
  • Support the preparation and submission of monthly CBN regulatory returns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with correspondent banks.
  • Coordinate monthly bank reconciliation statements.
  • Supervise daily payment processing and other finance operations.
  • Assist in audit preparation to ensure timely completion.
  • Develop and improve financial policies and procedures for operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and regularly review general ledger balances.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and quarterly variance reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the operations and reporting team to complete month-end financial activities on schedule.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or related qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and accounting abilities.
  • High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute positively to organizational goals.
