Job Description

Flutterwave is seeking an experienced GRC, Privacy & Security Awareness Manager to lead governance, risk, compliance, privacy, and security awareness initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening information security governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing enterprise risks, promoting data privacy, and driving security awareness while supporting the secure adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain enterprise security policies, governance frameworks, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with information security regulations, industry standards, and applicable legal requirements.
  • Lead governance, risk, privacy, and compliance assessments for technology initiatives, including AI-enabled solutions.
  • Establish and manage security awareness programs to promote a strong security culture across the organization.
  • Monitor security performance, risk exposure, and compliance metrics while recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security and privacy risks.
  • Support business continuity planning, crisis management, and information security governance activities.
  • Ensure personal data is processed and protected in accordance with applicable privacy laws and global best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in information security, risk management, governance, or privacy.
  • At least 5 years’ experience working with information security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, COBIT, or NIST.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, enterprise risk management, and data privacy practices.
  • Experience with AI governance, AI risk management, or emerging technology governance will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
