Job Description

Westfield Consulting Limited is recruiting on behalf of a leading new-generation bank for the position of Head, Corporate & Commercial Banking. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the Corporate & Commercial Banking division, strengthen client relationships, drive business growth, expand the bank’s corporate portfolio, and deliver innovative financial solutions that support profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversee the execution of Corporate & Commercial Banking activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the corporate and commercial client base.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor Team Leads to ensure strong performance and departmental profitability.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients while increasing the bank’s share of wallet through effective relationship management.
  • Drive growth in risk assets while ensuring compliance with the bank’s credit policies and risk management framework.
  • Identify talent gaps and training needs within the department to improve team performance.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Corporate Banking, or 15 years of banking experience with at least 6 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate banking operations, credit analysis, financial analysis, relationship management, and banking regulations.
  • Sound understanding of risk management, credit policies, business development, and commercial banking products.
  • Excellent leadership, client relationship management, communication, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience working with the public sector will be an added advantage.
