Job Description

An experienced HSE & Compliance Officer is needed to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance within a commercial real estate environment. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory adherence, minimizing workplace risks, and driving a strong safety culture through audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of workplace facilities, equipment, and operations to identify hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports outlining root causes and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and deliver HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders on safety practices, emergency response, and risk prevention.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE regulations and ensure all safety expectations are clearly communicated across teams and contractors.
  • Conduct risk assessments for new projects, processes, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities across all operational areas.

Requirements Instruction

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM will be an added advantage.
  • 5–8 years of proven experience in HSE management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards including OSHA, EPA, and ISO requirements.
  • In-depth understanding of ISO 14001 and other relevant local and international safety frameworks.
  • Experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
