Job Description

ETC Workforce Services Limited is recruiting a highly experienced Mini-Grid Systems Development Manager to oversee the development and execution of solar hybrid mini-grid projects across Nigeria. This role is responsible for driving projects from concept and feasibility through regulatory approvals, financing, construction, and commissioning while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Location: Abuja (FCT) / Lagos (with oversight of nationwide business operations)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development and implementation of solar hybrid mini-grid projects across multiple locations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations to identify viable project opportunities.
  • Coordinate regulatory approvals and ensure compliance with applicable NERC, REA, and other industry regulations.
  • Engage with investors, government agencies, local communities, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments to ensure successful delivery.
  • Supervise cross-functional project teams, contractors, and consultants to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure quality, safety, and operational standards are maintained.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in developing and managing mini-grid or renewable energy projects.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering solar hybrid mini-grid projects.
  • Strong understanding of Nigeria’s mini-grid regulatory framework, including NERC and REA guidelines.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
