Product Auditor (Remote) at Moniepoint Incorporated – Lagos

Job Description

Moniepoint Incorporated is hiring a Product Auditor to join its team remotely in Lagos. This role is responsible for independently assessing the effectiveness of controls across payment products, wallet systems, settlement processes, and other financial technology solutions. The successful candidate will help identify product risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and evaluate the integrity of financial and operational controls before and after product launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based audits of payment products, wallet systems, transaction workflows, and related financial services.
• Review product designs, business requirements, and transaction processes to identify control gaps before product deployment.
• Evaluate settlement, reconciliation, fee calculations, refunds, reversals, and transaction integrity across payment systems.
• Perform continuous assessments of live products to detect configuration changes, emerging risks, and control weaknesses.
• Assess vendor-managed payment solutions, third-party integrations, and API-related risks.
• Prepare audit reports, maintain product risk registers, and provide recommendations to improve control effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Product Audit, Systems Audit, Financial Data Analytics, Payment Operations, or a related role within fintech or financial services.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CFE, ACA, or ACCA are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of payment systems, wallet architecture, settlement processes, reconciliation, and transaction lifecycles.
• Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL), advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and data analysis tools.
• Good understanding of CBN regulations, PCI DSS, NDPR, and financial risk management frameworks.
