Job Description

Perfetti Van Melle Nigeria Limited is seeking a skilled Production Supervisor to oversee and manage daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. This role involves coordinating operations on a high-technology production line, optimizing processes, and leading a team to achieve production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure production processes are carried out in line with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Monitor operations and promptly report unsafe conditions or practices, taking corrective action when necessary
• Oversee end-to-end production on the Extruded Jelly or similar high-technology production line
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the production floor
• Track and manage process parameters, ensuring compliance and training operatives where required
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
• Report equipment breakdowns, escalate to maintenance teams, and follow up for timely resolution
• Provide insights on production challenges and manufacturing feasibility for process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in an Engineering-related field
• 5–8 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience
• Professional certification in Health, Safety & Environment is an added advantage
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities
• Ability to balance empathy with firmness in team management
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated passion for team development and continuous improvement
• Good report writing and documentation skills
