Job Description

An experienced Project Cost Consultant is required to support a fast-growing data center construction program for a leading technology client. This role involves working closely with global construction teams, project managers, and internal departments to manage project costs, forecasting, and financial performance across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide preconstruction cost support, including historical cost analysis and contractor purchase order development
  • Manage internal project budgets and financial reporting across multiple projects using project management tools
  • Oversee external budgets, including commitment tracking, change management, and document control
  • Lead monthly forecasting, cash flow analysis, and variance reporting for executive review
  • Coordinate vendor invoice reviews with project teams, auditors, and finance departments
  • Ensure accurate accrual reporting and financial tracking of all active purchase orders
  • Review and manage change orders, including approvals and documentation
  • Conduct financial health checks using dashboards, schedules, and productivity metrics
  • Maintain project risk registers and evaluate contingencies
  • Support project closeout activities and ensure financial alignment with schedules

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6–7 years of construction industry experience, including at least 4 years in a cost-focused project controls role
  • Experience working on large-scale, multi-project construction programs
  • Data center or mission-critical construction experience is highly preferred
  • Strong expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and change management
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cost control platforms such as Procore or eBuilder
  • Familiarity with Unifier is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present financial and project data clearly across multiple stakeholders
