Sortex Operator
Job Description
A firm is seeking an experienced Sortex Operator to operate and monitor electronic colour sorting machines used in the processing of hulled sesame seeds. The successful candidate will ensure product quality, machine efficiency, and compliance with food safety and operational standards.
Location: Kano State
Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦250,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Sortex machines for efficient product sorting.
- Inspect sorted products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate production and machine performance records.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Work with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
Key Requirements
- OND, Trade Test, or related qualification.
- 2–5 years of experience operating Sortex or similar color sorting machines.
- Basic troubleshooting and machine operation skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and hygiene standards.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping ability.
