Job Description

An experienced Structural Engineer is needed to design, analyze, and supervise structural systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role focuses on delivering safe, durable, cost-effective, and code-compliant structural solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Location: Ibeju, Lekki – Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and composite structures using industry-standard software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and STAAD.Pro
  • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, reports, and technical specifications in line with applicable standards (ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, and others)
  • Conduct structural inspections and site assessments to ensure compliance with approved design and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project teams to resolve design and construction challenges
  • Review shop drawings, fabrication details, and technical submittals for accuracy and compliance with design intent
  • Ensure all structural designs meet regulatory, safety, quality, and sustainability standards
  • Apply value engineering principles to improve efficiency and reduce project costs where applicable

Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc / Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in structural design for large-scale construction projects
  • COREN certification is required
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, geotechnical principles, and seismic design considerations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Applicants must demonstrate proven experience in delivering complex structural projects successfully
