Job Description

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), an international humanitarian organization, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Operator to support its operations in Maiduguri, Borno. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate and confidential medical records in line with MSF’s protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter patient and medical data into the mission’s database, including information from emergency, ICU, and pediatric departments.
  • Update patient records, correct errors, and perform regular data backups.
  • Compile and support the reporting of weekly and monthly medical data.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all patient information and provide support for disease surveillance data entry (e.g., Measles, Cholera, Meningitis).
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the recording area and assist in archiving and retrieving patient folders.
  • Train staff on proper data collection procedures when required.
  • Report data management issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health Information Management.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in data entry, preferably with NGOs.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), Hausa, and Kanuri.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and data software (e.g., Praxis, DHIS2).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage stress in a demanding environment.

Remuneration:
Compensation will follow the MSF salary scale and includes a 13th-month allowance equivalent to one month of gross salary.
