Job Description

DataVance LLC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure and high-performing network infrastructure. This role is hands-on and focuses on ensuring network availability, performance, and security across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.
  • Implement and manage routing, switching, firewall, and security solutions in line with best practices.
  • Monitor network performance using appropriate tools and proactively resolve issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and related network equipment.
  • Configure and manage site-to-site and remote-access VPNs.
  • Troubleshoot network latency, connectivity, and performance issues at 2nd and 3rd support levels.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventory.
  • Conduct periodic network security assessments and ensure compliance with IT security policies.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects.
  • Recommend solutions to improve network scalability, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or network administration.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Practical experience with firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet, or Palo Alto.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud networking is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
