Job Description
A leading telecommunication company is seeking an experienced Head, Project Management Office to provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide project governance and delivery. This role is responsible for overseeing the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving consistent, high-quality project execution across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain project management standards, frameworks, tools, and governance structures
- Oversee project portfolio planning, prioritization, performance tracking, and value realization
- Provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and support project managers and cross-functional delivery teams
- Drive delivery excellence through risk management, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage PMO budgets, resource allocation, and project management systems
- Lead stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage
- Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, PgMP, or equivalent is required
- 10–12 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in senior project or portfolio leadership roles
- Prior experience within telecommunications, ICT, or technology-driven environments is preferred
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and strategic thinking skills
- Proven expertise in financial management, risk management, and enterprise portfolio oversight
