Job Description
Assets Microfinance Bank is seeking a results-driven SME Sales Associate to support the growth of its SME and personal loan portfolio. This role is ideal for a sales professional with strong experience in microfinance lending, client relationship management, and credit assessment within a target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the sale of SME and personal loan products by identifying and converting viable business opportunities
- Monitor and review loan portfolios regularly to minimize credit and default risks
- Build, manage, and retain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Evaluate creditworthiness by processing loan applications and required documentation
- Interview loan applicants to assess financial eligibility and feasibility
- Analyze financial ratios and metrics, and structure appropriate repayment plans
- Communicate with clients to request, clarify, or provide relevant loan information
- Justify loan approval or rejection decisions and prepare periodic performance reports
- Complete loan contracts and educate clients on lending policies and conditions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and account records
- Identify customer needs and cross-sell relevant banking products and services
- Develop referral networks and stay informed about SME and microfinance industry trends
Requirements
- Minimum of a First Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years’ proven experience in SME and personal loan sales, preferably within a Microfinance Bank
- Strong understanding of retail and SME banking products and services
- Ability to work with sales targets in a performance-driven environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer service orientation
