A reputable organization in the financial services sector is seeking an experienced General Manager to provide strong operational leadership and oversee daily business activities. The role requires a strategic thinker with a disciplined approach to execution, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will translate high-level strategy into structured, compliant, and scalable operational systems while ensuring adherence to governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee day-to-day operations including onboarding, contribution facilitation, agent coordination, and service delivery.
- Translate strategic objectives into clear operational plans, performance targets, and measurable outcomes.
- Supervise state coordinators and field agents, ensuring effective training, monitoring, and compliance with engagement protocols.
- Implement and maintain strong operational risk controls, particularly in field operations and third-party interactions.
- Ensure strict segregation of pension contribution flows from company operating accounts in line with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Compliance teams to support expansion and new initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, service quality metrics, and contributor experience indicators, providing regular performance reports to Executive Management and the Board.
- Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and service delivery standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in operations management, programme delivery, or general management roles, preferably within financial services or other regulated sectors.
- Proven experience managing large, distributed teams and multi-location operations.
- Strong understanding of compliance-driven environments, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with structure, accountability, and operational discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
