Job Description
Koins Microfinance Bank Limited is seeking a skilled Information Technology Security Analyst to safeguard its digital infrastructure and ensure the integrity of its systems and data. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, responding to threats, and maintaining strong security standards across the organization’s IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, firewalls, and IDS/IPS tools
- Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities
- Review system and network logs to identify suspicious activities
- Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and best practices
- Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to secure systems, infrastructure, and applications
- Prepare reports on security incidents and overall risk posture
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls
- Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is an added advantage
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CISSP, or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) are preferred
