Job Description
St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is hiring a qualified and experienced Radiographer to join its Diagnostic Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State. The role involves conducting high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, maintaining radiation protection standards, and supporting accurate medical diagnosis through professional radiographic services.

Salary: N300,000 – N350,000 per month
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized X-ray examinations, including chest, spine, abdomen, skull, and extremity imaging
- Conduct CT scan procedures such as head, chest, pelvis, abdomen, and contrast-enhanced studies using approved protocols
- Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation protection, and image quality during all procedures
- Review physician requests and screen patients for contraindications including pregnancy, renal impairment, and contrast allergies
- Administer IV contrast media for CT procedures where authorized
- Carry out daily and periodic quality control checks on imaging equipment
- Apply ALARA principles and maintain compliance with NNRA radiation safety regulations
- Upload and manage images on PACS for prompt reporting
- Monitor patients during and after contrast administration and respond appropriately to emergencies or adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate patient records, scan parameters, exposure details, and imaging documentation
- Support departmental quality improvement, radiation safety audits, and infection control practices
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Radiography from a recognized institution
- Current practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN)
- Must be registered as a radiation worker with NNRA and authorized to operate X-ray and CT equipment
- Minimum of 2–3 years post-NYSC experience
- At least one year of practical CT scan experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- IV cannulation and contrast administration training is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, PACS/RIS systems, radiation protection, and dose optimization techniques
- Excellent communication, patient care, teamwork, and documentation skills
- Ability to work rotational shifts, weekends, and emergency call duties when required
