Job Description

Simba Group is recruiting a qualified Quality Assurance Officer to oversee quality control processes in its 2W and 3W automobile assembly operations. The role involves ensuring production quality standards are maintained across assembly stages, identifying defects, improving processes, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process inspections across assembly stages including chassis, engine fitment, electrical wiring, body assembly, and final finishing.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on completed vehicles to ensure compliance with quality standards before dispatch.
  • Identify defects, non-conformities, and assembly issues while carrying out root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and Pareto analysis.
  • Monitor assembly line processes to ensure consistency, compliance with SOPs, and first-time-right (FTR) production standards.
  • Inspect incoming CKD/SKD kits and components to detect defective or non-conforming materials.
  • Maintain inspection reports, defect logs, and quality performance records including KPIs such as FPY and defect rates.
  • Support internal and external quality audits while ensuring proper documentation and traceability.
  • Participate in Lean and Kaizen activities aimed at reducing defects and improving assembly efficiency.
  • Train assembly line workers on quality standards, defect prevention, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in quality assurance within automobile assembly or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of quality control tools, root cause analysis, and corrective action methods.
  • Ability to interpret SOPs, technical specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing or Kaizen principles is an added advantage.
