General Manager (Business Operations & Commercial Leadership)
Job Description
A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee business operations and provide commercial leadership across the organisation. The role requires a strategic professional with strong operational, financial, and leadership expertise to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable business growth.
The successful candidate will coordinate and manage core business functions including operations, production, finance, sales and marketing, procurement, human resources, and administration while ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the CEO in implementing strategic business goals and growth initiatives
• Lead operational transformation and improve organisational processes for increased efficiency
• Oversee production, supply chain, procurement, and overall business operations
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and effective cost management across departments
• Develop and implement performance management systems and operational reporting structures
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance, industry regulations, and internal policies
• Supervise and mentor department heads to strengthen team performance and accountability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, regulators, and business partners
• Monitor budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to support business objectives
• Identify opportunities for business expansion, restructuring, and operational improvement
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• 10 – 15 years of senior management or executive leadership experience
• Previous experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Industrial Services, or Financial Services Support is preferred
• MBA or relevant professional certification is an added advantage
• Proven experience managing multi-functional business operations and cross-functional teams
• Strong financial, commercial, and strategic management skills
• Demonstrated ability to scale, restructure, or optimise business operations successfully
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
