Job Description

First Bank of Nigeria Limited is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead and coordinate architectural and engineering design initiatives across the bank and its subsidiaries. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, design, and execution of high-profile infrastructure and development projects while ensuring functionality, aesthetics, compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage architectural and engineering design consultants to deliver special projects and infrastructure developments across the bank and its subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the implementation of architectural, interior design, spatial planning, and urban/estate design solutions to ensure high standards of functionality and visual appeal.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities to ensure projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and review design proposals, feasibility studies, project plans, and technical documentation.
  • Monitor project quality standards, including materials selection, construction processes, and finishing works.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide recommendations to address design, construction, or operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and subsidiaries to provide design support and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Track project milestones, design targets, and implementation progress while providing regular reports to management.
  • Analyze completed projects, document lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future developments.

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess:

  • B.Sc. in Architecture.
  • M.Sc. in Architecture (preferred).
  • Certification in Interior Design and Urban Design will be an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as MNIA, ARCON, and PMP (Project Management Professional).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in architecture, project design, and infrastructure development.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and design coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
