Job Description

Romson Oil Field Services Limited is seeking a qualified Technical Service Chemist to support laboratory and field chemical operations within the oil and gas industry. The role involves conducting laboratory testing, evaluating chemical performance, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. The successful candidate will also assist with field chemical applications, technical reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing and evaluation of oil field chemicals to ensure product performance and quality.
• Support field chemical operations by collecting, labeling, and analyzing production fluid samples.
• Maintain laboratory equipment through routine calibration, servicing, and preventive maintenance.
• Assist Technical Service Engineers with field trials, chemical injection monitoring, and performance assessments.
• Prepare laboratory reports, technical service reports, and documentation in line with quality management procedures.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), MSDS documentation, and test results.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements, HSE policies, and environmental regulations.
• Report operational non-conformities and recommend corrective or preventive actions where necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Sciences, or Social Sciences.
• 3–5 years of experience in chemical application and laboratory equipment operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of laboratory testing procedures and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices within industrial operations.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.
