Job Description

A leading oil and gas services company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth, strengthen client relationships, and expand its market presence within the upstream and downstream oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key client accounts, and supporting the deployment of oilfield production chemical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, and service companies.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Coordinate laboratory evaluations, field trials, and product qualification programs for production chemicals.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of oilfield production chemicals, including corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, demulsifiers, biocides, water clarifiers, oxygen scavengers, Hâ‚‚S scavengers, defoamers, and other specialty chemicals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, business development reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, HSE policies, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
  • An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 8–12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in business development, technical sales, or application support for oilfield production chemicals.
  • Strong technical knowledge of oilfield production chemistry, laboratory testing, field trials, production systems, and chemical injection systems.
  • Practical experience supporting production chemical applications for upstream oil and gas operations.
  • Excellent business development, negotiation, and technical presentation skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer locations and both offshore and onshore project sites.
  • Flexible and able to take on additional responsibilities when required.
