Job Description

MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is seeking a qualified Regional Quality Advisor to support the delivery of high-quality clinical services across its designated region. The role focuses on maintaining clinical excellence, strengthening quality assurance processes, supporting healthcare providers through training and supervision, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards and clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct competency assessments for doctors, nurses, and other clinical personnel across all service areas, including Tubal Ligation and Vasectomy.
  • Monitor and maintain high clinical quality standards across clinics, outreach teams, public sector facilities, and partner service delivery channels.
  • Carry out regular quality assurance visits, identify service gaps, and recommend corrective actions to improve clinical performance.
  • Support the establishment and rollout of new service centres while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
  • Investigate and document clinical incidents using approved reporting tools and recommend preventive measures.
  • Coordinate clinical training activities by providing technical guidance, training materials, and ongoing support to Clinical Training Officers.
  • Maintain accurate records of clinician competencies, certifications, licences, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure proper storage, monitoring, and quality control of medical products within the regional store.
  • Provide technical support to supervisors and healthcare providers on quality improvement initiatives and clinical standards.
  • Prepare reports, maintain training databases, and document supervisory visits and quality assurance activities.
  • Identify training needs during monitoring visits and facilitate appropriate capacity-building interventions.
  • Travel regularly across the assigned region to provide monitoring, supervision, and technical support.

Requirements
  • Degree in Medicine and Surgery or Nursing/Midwifery with at least a Bachelor’s degree; an MPH is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of post-graduation clinical experience.
  • Experience working in Sexual and Reproductive Health is required.
  • Experience implementing quality assurance or quality improvement initiatives within healthcare settings.
  • Strong project management, coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Evidence of current professional registration and good standing with a recognized clinical regulatory body.
  • Basic managerial qualification is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience working with a non-governmental organization is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60%).
